When to harvest the flowers of the Taste of Love edible rose bushes?

Our rose bushes are full of fragrant flowers that invite us to eat them, but do we know when to harvest them?

The best time to harvest roses is mid-morning, when the flowers are dew-free and their essential oils are at full strength, with maximum fragrance.

To get the maximum aroma from the flowers and petals, use them fresh.

Alternatively, keep the half-opened roses in a plastic bag in the refrigerator. Harvested at optimum flowering stage, refrigerated roses can be kept perfectly well for 7 to 10 days in the refrigerator.

However, if the flowering has been abundant and you cannot consume the petals within 10 days, we recommend drying them in the sun or dehydrating them with a suitable appliance, always being careful not to overdry them. Then keep tightly closed in a jar or vacuum-packed.

Ready to eat! Now you can enjoy them however you prefer!
